NEW 2X SQUARED is an Elliott 10.5, a fast, fun racing boat built to scream downwind on a tight reach. This is my first season as a boat owner/on the helm, so although I've been sailing for years, I'm still learning to sail this boat competitively. We are sailing junkies, racing every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and going for a sail some evenings after work during summer. We are looking for crew for Geelong on Australia Day weekend and also for bay races for the remainder of the season; mainly for Saturdays and some Sundays, but could also take extras on Wednesday as there is plenty of room. I will be competing in all the women's regattas this season and still have one or two places to fill for those as well. Main criteria is people who want to enjoy learning to sail in a low-pressure, stress-free crew environment, so happy to take novices or people who just want to give it a try, can provide training. If you'd like to join us, please call Kathy on 0433 762 798.
NEW "Runamuk S80"
Is wanting a reliable crew member to enjoy sailing every Wednesday afternoon at 2pm in the WAGS Series. (Sternchaser style racing) Experience is not necessary, but enthusiasm and commitment is important. Please contact Gerry Cantwell 0418 100 136 or gerry.cantwell@little.com.au
NEW "Just Quietly"
Just Quietly is looking for a regular crew person for Wednesday twilight races. Just Quietly is a Thompson 7 sports boat, usually sailed with a crew of four. The boat is fast and fun to sail, and would suit someone who is reasonably fit and active. Some dinghy sailing experience would be a bonus. If you are interested, please contact Claire on 0409 112 664 or email claire.fazakerley@gmail.com
"Magic Bullet"
We have 2 places available for new crew. Some experience is preferred. The boat is a Cavalier 350 SL which is a relatively fast but comfortable 35 foot racer cruiser. It has a large cockpit and is easy to race. We aim to sail Wednesday twilights and on approximately every 2nd Saturday. We will enter the Range series, Lipton Regatta and some other Saturday races. You can commit to some or all of the racing. We also usually sail Geelong week in January. I think we have a great bunch of people, with a good approach to our sailing. If you think this may suit you please give me a call. Leo Cantwell 0417594084
"GALAXY"
Is a 50ft racer/cruiser which normally sails with a crew of 10 to 14 people. GALAXY participates in club racing on Saturday afternoons and some passage races on the bay. During the summer season, we also race the twilight series on Wednesday nights.
Experienced sailors will enjoy the challenge. New or novice sailors that are keen, fit and prepared to sail fairly regularly can gain sailing experience through hands-on practical training provided by our experienced and friendly crew members.
If you would like to sail with us or just try out a sailing experience on GALAXY contact Andrew on 0413581310 or by email mariner@netspace.net.au

NEW (8th March 2013) I live in Williamstown and can be available at short notice if required for some Saturdays. I've recently got back into sailing after a 20 year break and have been crewing on a Diamond for the past couple of months to get back up to speed. I have some experience, but would class myself as a beginner.I'm fit and keen. Looking to gain experience on any size craft. Still committed to the Diamond crew, but available on the odd Saturdays that they aren't sailing. Phil 0413 729729
NEW (21st February 2013) Hi, I’m a reliable sailor looking to get back into cruising, relaxed racing and offshore racing. I’m day skipper qualified (2011) through Gordon Syme (but a little out of practice). I can contribute to the coffers and/or provide elbow grease for boat upkeep, maintenance, deck swabbing etc. I’m good natured, relaxed, enjoy a tankard or three, non-smoking, able bodied (with a few creaks) and in my early 40’s. I did the Melbourne to Hobart in 2008, a life changing experience, and would love to do the ORCV series again. I am willing to invest the time with a crew to train/practice and prepare throughout the year for ocean racing or cruising. I can make most Saturdays or Sundays. Wednesday twilights will be difficult because of my work hours and work location. I have some experience on the foredeck but better in the ‘office’ and other roles in the stern, so to speak. If you feel there is an opportunity for me to contribute to your crew and sailing season, please contact me Ray Moore on 0408 280 224 or ray.alan.moore@gmail.com
NEW Just arrived back in the country, have had plenty of sailing experience Oct - 2009 until Feb 2011: crewing mainly with HBYC (Tim Cambpell (1/2 tonner): I did Bao, Main and Spinnaker, a few times with David Judge (S40) and over the whole period also with David Barnett (Bluebird) Mar 2011: I did the 'Day Skipper Tidal' at Brighton Yacht Club, 2012: cruising in the Caribbean, Canarian Islands and Italy and getting the German yacht license. Very flexible with timing in the next two months, and will be dropping down to the club on a Wednesday evening to see what's around. Volker Rietermann 0406 899 176 email volker_reitermann@hotmail.com

My neighbour and myself are keen to get sailing.I have sailed a bit but only small herons etc. Barry has been on water a fair bit but mostly fishing etc. We are from Beechworth so we would be interested in crewing on a Saturday. As you probably picked up we are green horns. But in saying that we both like good fun, Barry owns Sorrenberg vineyard and is the everything from wine maker to vineyard manager. Myself am a distiller of mainly essential oils but on occasions some very nice grappa. So if you are interested in training a couple of people up we are very keen to be involved.
